Dear Friends, In many homes across America, receiving new pajamas at Christmas is a tradition. This year you can spread that tradition to children who live in the Hope House in Chiang Mai, Thailand. These children were at risk of being sold for sex trafficking but have been given the opportunity to live and study at Hope House. In addition to pajamas, each of the 33 children needs shoes.
As in years past, Minda’s Boutique is launching a holiday initiative to support an organization that Minda has personally visited and vetted. We will have our “Hope Tree” in the store beginning on November 15th. Decorating the tree will be 66 ornaments depicting the picture, age, and tribe of each child. For a $10 donation, you can provide a pair of pajamas or a pair of shoes. Each child will have two ornaments. Our hope is that you will choose a child to sponsor and hang the ornament on your own tree.
Shawls for Hope
Additionally, again this year, a portion of your purchase of selected scarves and shawls at Minda’s will benefit others. This year’s initiative focuses on providing mosquito nets and blankets for the children’s parents who live in the mountains. The scarves make lovely gifts for your loved ones, as well as providing gifts for those who need nets and blankets so badly.
We look forward to serving you during the holiday season.
